An era has come to an end in India's conservation movement with the passing away of Valmik Thapar, a well-known Tiger wildlife conservationist and author, considered as one of the world's foremost authorities on Tigers conservation, he had dedicated nearly five decades of his life to the protection of wild tigers, particularly in Ranthambore National Park in Rajasthan which is a real testimony to his deep commitment and indefatigable zeal for animal conservation. he was known as the Tiger man ad was the in international voice for tigers for many years who advocated the anti-poaching laws and attempted to safeguard tiger habitat during this five decades distinguished career in wildlife conservation.

He was a multi-talented personality, not just a wildlife conservationist, but a writer, photographer and television presenter who had been at the forefront Tiger preservation for about five decades since mid 1970, he had authored several noteworthy books on tiger preservation, made several wildlife documentaries which were telecasted on BBC, he had the honour of giving lectures in many universities around the world about wildlife.

His legendary work for the conservation of tigers in India will always be a source of inspiration for generations of people to come and he will be remembered for the bringing the plight of India's forests and endangered species into public consciousness hither to not much known to people, more so the voice of an animal that cannot speak for itself, you will be dearly missed.

Sir, Passing away of globally noted environmentalist Dr R K Pachauri brings to an end of a remarkable life, he will be best remembered for his courageous leadership which allowed climate change to be recognized world over as the most pressing issue confronting globally today, he fiercely launched a new Era of international deliberation and actions about environmnet issues,

R K Pachauri was an incredible institutional builder and professional with human touch, who founded of "The Energy Resources Institute" (TERI), one of the largest research institutions in the world, and only due to the pivotal role he played, TERI is being recognized as the a premier global organization in the environmental sustainability. due to his untiring perseverance.

In April 2020, R K pachauri was elected as the chairman of the United Nations (UN) intergovernmental panel of climate changes(IPCC),

His period of crowning period of glory came, when in 2007, under his leadership, IPCC won the Nobel Prize along the former US Vice President Al Gore, for the significant contribution in raising awareness on environmental issues.

Governmnet of India had also accorded him with country's 2nd and and 3rd highest civilian awards Bhushan Bhushan (2001) and Padma Vibhushan (2008) respectively, He was a Engineer who worked in Indian Railways for long, the Environmentalist R K pachauri is also a distinguished author, who had authored 23 books.

During his sterling career spanning for more than three decades, he had also served as a member of the high power Prime Minister's committee for climate change which was constituted in 2007

His contribution was invaluable in the fight against the climate change, which will be remembered for generations to come, It will be decades before R K pachauri's full contribution to safeguarding the future of the world is fully appreciated.

It is hoped when R K pachauri is not around, TERI and his other environmentalist colleagues will carry forward his legacy more intensely, he will be remembered as an Indian who significantly contributed in fight against climate changes. He was always in favour of the renewable energies and biotechnological solutions much before they became reality in our life, truly due to his untiring perseverance. he has been recognised as a truly a global face in the fight against climate change.

R K Pachauri was a visionary leader and who could always think ahead of this time, his courageous leadership allowed climate change to be recognised world over as the most pressing issue confronting the world today.

Though he had some allegations of sexual harassment by his colleagues, case was yet to be proven in courts.

His unparalleled contribution in the fight against the climate changes will always be remembered for long time to come, It will be decades before R K Pachauri's full contribution in safeguarding the future of the world is fully appreciated that climate change are real.

When such legends departs, world become poorer. RIP R K Pachauri.

The passing away of eminent environmentalist Professor G D Agarwal in India brings an end to a remarkable life. He will be best remembered for his contribution towards saving the Ganga river in the country.

Prof Agarwal, also known as Swami Gyanswarup Sanand, had been fasting for the last 111 days demanding a law that would rejuvenate the river. A crusader for a pure and continuous flowing river Ganga, he had amazing strength and commitment.

Agarwal was a former professor and head of the department of Civil and Environmental engineering at IIT, Kanpur. He had also served as member-secretary of Central Pollution Control Board. Prof Agarwal leaves behind a large number of environmentalists whom he mentored and who will carry forward his legacy. When legendary people like Prof Agarwal depart, nations become poorer. May his soul rest in peace.

The passing away of India's best-known naturalists and ornithologist Zafar Fatehally brings to an end of remarkable life. He will be best remembered for his significant contribution towards wildlife conservation, which will remain a hallmark of his remarkable career. He also spearheaded the early conservation movement of India, which served as a link between conservators and corporates. He was also member of the steering committee of Protect Tiger and secretary of Bombay Natural History Society. Veteran Ornithologist Zafar FatehaIly had made Bangalore as his home for over four decades, where he carried out his studies in the subject.

He brought out the country's first newletter for bird-watchers, which focused on conveying the ideas of modern conservation to a whole new generation of Indians about this subject. He was the cousin of India's most illustrative and popular orthologist and naturalist Salim Ali.

The best tribute to him will be if the Government of India confers Fatehally with the Padma award for his contribution in the field of ornithology. His death is a great loss to birding community not only India but globally and will create a great void.
