Congratulations to Karnataka Police for solving the serial bomb blasts in Bangalore, Infact there was great sense of urgency and pressure on ATS team, led By ACP Gopal Hosur to solve this case. Unfortunately, in India, we always find fault with police whenever they are in news. We should also remember that policemen in India. work under tremendous pressure 24x7 and perform variety of duties such as VIP protection, law and order, traffic and intelligence. Many a time good work by police personnel especially in intelligence department goes unnoticed because of the confidentiality of the department. it is ironic that we have no sympathy and respect for police.

Credit is due to making Jyothi Prakash for making Bangalore a safer city in the one year of his tenure as the city's police commissioner. He has indeed taken some initiatives, which have yielded result and reduced crime rate. Frequent raids on houses of criminals is one such appreciable move. While the city police are doing a good job in controlling the crime rate, there is scope for further improvement. The number of men in uniform on patrol needs to be increased, during daytime as well as nights.

Congratulations to the state police team for solving the twin blast case of M Chinnaswamy stadium. It took the police two years to nab the culprits. This success should be attributed to the sustained efforts by the men in khaki, who kept building on clues and kept on going that extra mile to trace the culprits.
