Need to choke terror financing,
Deccan Herald,19th Feb,2019,L.E

Sir, The deadly terrorist attack at Pulwama illustrates the sophisticated capacity of terrorists to wreak havoc with impunity. This terror attack is a grave reminder to the government that our country needs a multi-pronged approach to end the menace of terrorism from across the border. In the face of the persistent sponsored and internally-abetted terrorism in J&K, the recent attack is a reminder that India needs a composite plan against terrorists and their backers from across the border.

The first and foremost step by the government should be to cut off, swiftly and decisively, funds coming from our neighbouring countries, many outfits and individuals, who have been a conduit of terror financing.

These terrorist organisations survive on a steady flow of funds to maintain their cadres and buy arms, the major source of which is drugs from across the border. This will be the single most forceful attack on the menace of terror.

CHOKE FUND SOURCES
Deccan Chronicle-Thursday,20 May,2010,L.E

The killings at Dantewada on Monday are not just a cause for alarm but also a wake-up call (centre needs to Refashion Strategy, 19 May).

The Maoists survive on a steady flow of funds to maintain their cadres and buy arms. Cut their funding- be it extortion or contributions and you cut them off. That’s the only way to cut the Naxals down to size.
